The Russian Synodal Bible was first published in 1876 and is widely used by all churches in Russia.

In this version, the Old Testament is NOT tagged with Strong's Numbers but will be added IF it becomes available. The New Testament is tagged with Strong's Numbers (Russian New Testament with Strongs Numbers under edition of Victor R. Zhuromsky.)

With the Strong's Number tagging, the New Testament words/phrases are keyed to the complete Pierce-Strong's Number Code System which provides lexicon definitions as well as tense-voice-mood verb parsings.

5/2/18 Update: The 3.0 update adds Strong's Numbering to the New Testament.

I appreciate the Synodal Text being made available on Accordance. However, for the price, it should, at the very least, be a searchable text. The inclusion of Strong's numbers would be another great addition, but searchable is a must for any Biblical text. Please, add cyrillic character recognition to Accordance and make this text searchable!

[Response from Accordance: All our texts are fully searchable, including this Bible.]

25 years after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Russian speaking Evangelicals now have the excellent Contemporary Russian Translation to read instead of the old Orthodox Synodal version. I have to agree with Yevgeniy Runkevich that a contemporary version and also Stong numbering would be an appropriate feature that would sell more copies and be more welcome to the Evangelical community.

January 2019 review update: While I may disagree with the wisdom of pricing, I actually commend Accordance team for still carrying this text, which is by far THE most used and influential Russian Bible translation. Yet, it is strange that more than 20 years after the Synodal Bible was fully keyed to Strong’s numbers at the Bob Jones University, and after that fully keyed text is available freely on about every free Bible software platform, still no major commercial Bible software or app is offering it. What they do offer is a text that the so-called “Russian Bible Society” edited quite cosmetically to justify claiming copyright over it. Which, of course, is a misnomer, as this translation goes back to 1824 (New Testament and Psalms) and 1876 (full Bible). Finally including at least the New Testament Strong’s keyed by V. Zhuromskiy is, certainly, a progress.
